What an amazing day today has been!
We went to the foster home and upon arrival all the kids were waiting for us. They ran out to give us a kiss and hug. THEY WERE BEAUTIFUL!!! We spent about half an hour outside getting to know one another and taking pictures. Neima - Mari'An loved the camera and took a good 100 or so herself, making sure everyone saw themselves in the screen. I sat with Karima - Amy'lia and showed her the picture book. All the other kids came to see but Karima loved the pictures - kissing MaMa and Dada. Abdurhman - Luke was a bit shy but took to Joshua immediately. By the time we left the foster home, Josh had taught him his numbers to 10. Nadia is Ms. Independent. She said hello and went on her merry way visiting with everyone.
Abd reminds me of Kayleb (Amy said this too). He is shy, reserved, and waits to see what is going on. Very obedient!
Neima- She has been a huge help. She is VERY smart and tries to help us communicate with the other kids. We had the counselors ask her if she could help us know if the kids had to use the bathroom while on the plane. She graciously agreed to help.
Karima likes to tease. She wants to see what everyone else has but takes it versus looks. She is a smiling beauty.
Nadia- She wants her way and screams to get it. She has met her match withmama. WE need a few rules. hee hee She is 2. :)
Things are going well thus far. Tomorrow is our embassy date.
Just found out some how or another, are flights home have been cancelled. Please pray this all works out and all is the same. :)

ReplyDeleteHi mommy-hi daddy-how are you doing with the kids? I've been praying for you that you would have a safe trip to Africa. I love you. If wonder what I was doing- I have been riding the gator and tractors with grandpa. The picnic -I got to ride a pony and held a baby duck and chicken, a rabbit. Grandma says I was such a big help to her. I love you-see you Friday. Kayleb
ReplyDeleteWell I love you mom and dad- I miss you very much. I hope Niema is very much better. I hope everyone in Africa is safe. And mom and dad I had fun at the picnic yesterday and I rode the pony two times. They had lots of pets. Mommy and daddy I won three prizes from the games. and I had really fun. from J'Dyn to mommy, daddy and Josh. Josh I hope you are having a fun time in Africa and I miss you very much. J'Dyn
The children were so excited to hear your voice even if it was a tired voice. They will call tomorrow when you are awake. So many people asking questions. Dad and I continue to pray for you as well. Everything will be just fine. Kayleb got the biggest kick when I read to him about Nadia. and his eyes got very big. I said do you agree with me Kayleb...Nadia will not be the winner in the broad scheme of things:). J'Dyn learned-so will she. If not her screaming will drive everyone nuts:) Take care, God Bless and we LOVE YOU. Dad and mom
We had the elders pray for you guys this evening and your flights. We know God will handle all of the details and get you back here right on time.
ReplyDeleteYou continue to be in our prayers!!
Maggie

Those kiddo's don't realize that they just hit the lottery! They are now part of a beautiful family and will never want for love! You guys are remarkable! I pray everything continues to go well and I'll say an extra prayer that the flights are not messed up! I know you can't wait to get them home to meet the rest of the family!
